SaveBox Privacy Policy
SaveBox is a local file management, media import, image and video preview, web browsing, web snapshot, web summary, WiFi local-network transfer, membership subscription, and private space app. This policy explains how SaveBox handles information. Except when you actively use external websites, system sharing, WiFi local-network transfer, online feedback, email feedback, web summary, announcements and remote configuration, in-app purchases, or App Store related services, the app's core files and browser data are stored primarily on your device.
1. Information We Process
SaveBox does not require an account by default. Depending on the features you use, the app or related services may process the following information:
- Files, images, videos, web snapshots, and folder information that you import, save, preview, move, rename, delete, share, or export.
- Browser history, bookmarks, frequently used sites, Cookies, cache, and website data created by the browser module.
- Private space local files, passcode status, biometric unlock preference, and unlock session state.
- When you expressly start WiFi Transfer, local-network connection information and the pairing code for the current service session, plus normal-space files, file names, sizes, folders, progress, and task status processed directly between paired devices to complete the transfer.
- Subscription and membership status information, such as product IDs, purchase or restore results, entitlement status, subscription expiration time, trial status, renewal status, and anonymous App User IDs generated or used by RevenueCat.
- Device and app information needed for online feedback, announcements, remote configuration, and service requests, such as device identifiers, device model, system version, app version, build number, language, region, time zone, install time, session count, and Pro status.
- Basic analytics, behavioral analytics, and stability diagnostics, such as app version, system version, device model, launch events, screen views, feature taps, interactions, crashes, and related error information.
- Contact information, issue description, screenshots, device information, or other content you voluntarily provide in online feedback, support, or feedback email.
We do not intentionally ask you to provide your name, precise location, contacts, or health data. Payment card numbers, Apple ID passwords, and App Store payment credentials are handled by Apple. SaveBox does not read or store those payment credentials.
2. Local Storage And Private Space
SaveBox's file library, browser data, and private space content are stored primarily on your device. Private space adds an in-app access gate for selected content, but it is not cloud backup, an end-to-end encrypted vault, or system-level data isolation. You are responsible for keeping your device passcode, SaveBox passcode, and important file backups safe.
If you uninstall the app, clear app data, delete local files, or experience a system failure, local data may not be recoverable.
2.1 WiFi Local-Network Transfer
SaveBox starts a local service on the same WiFi or local network only when you start WiFi Transfer from Transfers and allow Local Network access. During that service session, a paired device that enters the pairing code can browse files and folders, send or receive files, create folders, or delete standard-space files. Private Space is not exposed through this feature.
Relevant files and transfer metadata are processed directly between your device and the paired device, without SaveBox cloud relay. The service stops or may be interrupted when the app enters the background, you stop the service, the network changes, or permission is denied.
3. Photos Permission
When you choose to import images or videos from Photos, or save media to the system photo library, SaveBox requests Photos access or add-only permission. This permission is used only for import, save, or share actions you initiate. You can manage Photos permission at any time in iOS Settings.
4. Face ID And Touch ID
If you enable Face ID or Touch ID for private space, biometric verification is handled by iOS. SaveBox does not read, collect, store, or upload your face, fingerprint, or other biometric templates. The app receives only the success or failure result from the system and uses your setting to decide whether to unlock private space.
5. Browser, Cookies, And Third-Party Websites
SaveBox includes web browsing features. Websites, search engines, or third-party services you visit may collect information under their own privacy policies, such as IP address, device information, Cookies, login state, form content, or browsing records. SaveBox does not control third-party data practices.
To support third-party HTTP images, CDNs, web resources, and page media resources, SaveBox currently allows ordinary HTTP requests. This is used only to load third-party resources you choose to visit and does not mean SaveBox uploads your local files, private space content, or Photos content.
Browser data may be stored locally for history, bookmarks, frequently used sites, website login state, and cache. You can clear browser history, bookmarks, frequently used sites, Cookies, cache, and related data in app settings.
6. Subscriptions, Purchases, And RevenueCat
SaveBox Pro subscriptions and purchase restoration are provided through Apple StoreKit, the App Store, and RevenueCat. To show subscription plans, process purchases, restore purchases, and determine Pro entitlements, Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase history, product IDs, transaction status, receipt-related information, anonymous App User IDs, subscription status, entitlements, expiration time, trial status, renewal status, and device and app technical information. If we receive subscription notifications, webhooks, or subscriber lookup results from RevenueCat or Apple, our subscription notification, entitlement check, or revenue analysis systems may store order, subscription event, refund, renewal, cancellation, sandbox flag, anonymous user identifier, and product information for reconciliation, analytics, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
SaveBox does not receive your full payment card number, Apple ID password, or App Store payment credentials. Subscription cancellation, refunds, billing, and payment methods are usually handled by Apple under Apple's rules. You can review, change, or cancel subscriptions in iOS or App Store subscription settings.
7. Online Services, Web Summary, And Remote Configuration
When you actively use web summary, SaveBox sends the current page HTML, preferred language, and request signature information to the SaveBox backend. The backend may call a third-party AI service to generate the summary. Do not use web summary for pages that contain highly sensitive personal information, account credentials, payment information, or content you are not authorized to submit.
SaveBox may also request remote configuration, announcements, app update information, and feature switches. These requests may include device identifiers, device model, system version, app version, build number, language, region, time zone, install time, session count, and Pro status to control feature availability, show announcements, handle compatibility, and troubleshoot issues.
8. Online Feedback And Support
If you use the online feedback page, the feedback content, feedback type, optional contact information, and automatically attached device information are sent to the SaveBox feedback service and may be stored in cloud infrastructure such as Cloudflare KV or Cloudflare D1 for us to review and respond. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive files, passcodes, or payment information.
9. How We Use Information
We process information to:
- Provide file import, folder management, image and video preview, save-to-Photos, system sharing, export, and private space features.
- When you expressly start it, provide pairing, browsing, send and receive actions, folder management, and task progress for the standard file space on the same local network.
- Provide web browsing, search, bookmarks, history, frequently used sites, web snapshots, web summary, cache, and data clearing features.
- Show subscription plans, process purchases and purchase restoration, determine SaveBox Pro entitlements, and provide subscription management entry points.
- Provide remote configuration, announcements, app update prompts, online feedback, service diagnostics, and security checks.
- Respond to feedback, issue reports, or support requests you send voluntarily.
- Maintain app security, troubleshoot problems, improve user experience, and comply with legal requirements.
10. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Except for the following situations, we do not proactively share your local files, private space content, or browser data with third parties:
- You actively use system sharing, export, save-to-Photos, email, or visit a third-party website.
- When you expressly start WiFi Transfer and pair a device, relevant standard-space files and necessary transfer metadata are sent directly to the paired device on the same local network, without SaveBox cloud relay.
- To provide subscriptions, purchases, purchase restoration, and membership entitlement checks, SaveBox uses Apple StoreKit, the App Store, and RevenueCat to process necessary purchase and subscription information.
- For app analytics, behavioral analytics, and stability diagnostics, SaveBox may use the UMeng SDK and Microsoft Clarity to process necessary device, app, usage, interaction, and error information. These third parties handle data under their own privacy policies.
- To provide web summary, online services, remote configuration, announcements, online feedback, subscription notifications, and revenue analysis, SaveBox may use Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare KV, Cloudflare D1, Cloudflare Analytics Engine, SaveBox backend services, and AI service providers to process request content you submit and necessary device, app, purchase, and subscription information.
- Support email services may process the content you voluntarily provide when we respond to your request.
- Disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect users, developers, or public safety.
11. Retention And Deletion
Local files, web snapshots, browser history, bookmarks, Cookies, cache, WiFi transfer records, and private space content usually remain on your device until you delete them, clear data, or uninstall the app. You can delete files, move items out of private space, clear browser data or completed transfer records in SaveBox, or uninstall the app in iOS to remove local app data.
Subscription and purchase records are retained by Apple, RevenueCat, and our subscription notification, entitlement, and revenue analysis systems according to their respective rules. Online feedback, support email, announcement read state, remote configuration cache, analytics, diagnostics, order, and subscription event records may be retained for as long as needed to handle issues, maintain services, analyze product performance, prevent abuse, and satisfy legal requirements.
12. Children's Privacy
SaveBox is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children's personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at the email address in this policy and we will handle it within a reasonable scope.
13. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect in-app data and support communications. No local storage, network transmission, or electronic communication method can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. You are responsible for the security of your device system, lock screen passcode, app passcode, and backups.
WiFi Transfer uses a local HTTP connection and should not be treated as an end-to-end encrypted or absolutely secure transfer method. Use it only on networks and devices you trust, and protect the service address, QR code, and pairing code.
14. Updates
If SaveBox features, data practices, or applicable requirements change, we may update this Privacy Policy. The updated policy will be posted on this page and will be effective as of the date shown. For material changes, we may provide notice through in-app entry points or other reasonable methods when appropriate.
15. Contact Us
